Fees

Below are examples of my fees for different types of matters. As a general rule I charge about $350.00 per hour with GST added. Some matters I can charge a fixed rate while on other times it is largely dependent on your instructions and the other party as to the cost. It is difficult to provide an exact amount as they can become more or less expensive due to circumstances beyond my control. On occasion I can accept assignments from Legal Aid for family law matters and criminal matters. All listed matters are inclusive of GST

Criminal matters

Criminal Judge Alone Trial (JAT) $5500 with preparation for a matter in the District Court one day

Criminal Trial in High Court (Jury) $7000 per day plus preparation
Criminal Sentence in the District Court $3300 s106
Criminal Appeal $5000 including preparation
Criminal Sentence in the High Court $3300 including preparation

Family Matters (Estimate Only)
Starting a Family Matter (First appearance, affidavit, letters to other side, and application) $8000
Family Violence Matter protection order hearing $5000

Wills and Estates
Affidavit between $5000 and $16 000 including annexures
Mediation $5000
Court appearances by AVL $600
Trial about $7000 per day plus preparation.

Traffic

About $3300 per matter including s106, s94 applications (affidavit, submissions and court time)

Limited Licence $1500 to file (memorandum, affidavit, & application) with a further $1500 if it is contested
